Publication of Supplementary Prospectus

Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon PLC (the "Company") has today published a supplementary prospectus approved by the UK Listing Authority.  The publication of the supplementary prospectus is a regulatory requirement under the Prospectus Rules following the release of the Company's preliminary statement of its annual results for the year to 31 January 2015.

The supplementary prospectus is supplemental to, and should be read in conjunction with, the prospectus published by the Company on 21 May 2014 (as supplemented by the supplementary prospectus published on 30 September 2014) in relation to the issue of up to 12,291,832 ordinary shares in aggregate for the purpose of fulfilling natural market demand.

Copies of the supplementary prospectus will shortly be available for inspection at www.hemscott.com/nsm.do.

Copies of the supplementary prospectus are also available in electronic form on the Company's website at www.shinnippon.co.uk and are available for collection  during normal business hours on any day (Saturday, Sunday and public holidays excepted) until 21 May 2015 from the registered office of the Company at Calton Square, 1 Greenside Row, Edinburgh EH1 3AN and from the offices of Dickson Minto W.S., Broadgate Tower, 20 Primrose Street, London EC2A 2EW.
