Appointment of Director

The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Neil Rogan as Non-Executive Director of Baillie Gifford UK Growth Trust plc as of 1 January 2024. It is the intention that Mr Rogan will take on the role of Chairman of the Board once Ms Dobson stands down at the conclusion of the Company's September 2024 Annual General Meeting.

Mr Rogan currently sits as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Invesco Asia Trust plc and is Non-Executive Director on the Board of JPMorgan Global Growth & Income Trust plc. He was previously the Chairman of Murray Income Trust PLC and a Non-Executive Director of The Scottish Investment Trust PLC. Prior to his non-executive roles, Mr Rogan spent 30 years as an investment manager with Touche Remnant, Flemings and most recently Gartmore/Henderson where he was Head of Global Equities.

The appointment of Mr Rogan is to be approved by Shareholders at the Annual General Meeting of the Company to be held in September 2024.

There is no other information required to be disclosed under section 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
