Company update

The Board of Schroder UK Growth Fund plc (the 'Company' or 'SDU') notes the announcement made by Schroders in relation to the appointment of Philip Matthews to assume the management of the Schroder UK Alpha Plus Fund after Richard Buxton and Erroll Francis leave Schroders in June 2013.

For the avoidance of doubt, Philip Matthews has not been engaged to manage SDU's portfolio. The Board expects to make a further announcement in early May regarding the future management of the Company's portfolio.
