PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 20 October 1999, the Company
purchased 49,872 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 141.08 pence
per share. Following the purchase, there are a further 222,559,359 shares in
issue.
