PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 22 May 2000, the Company purchased
59,828 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 142.92 pence per share.
Following the purchase, there are a further 207,147,896 shares in issue.
