PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 31 August 2000, the Company
purchased 35,000 shares for cancellation, at a price of 151.00 pence per share.
Following the purchase, there are a further 201,947,123 shares in issue.
