Block Listings of Ordinary Shares
Balfour Beatty plc confirms the following in respect of the Block
Listings of its 50p Ordinary Shares ('Ordinary Shares').
In relation to the Block Listing relating to conversions of its
Cumulative Convertible Redeemable Preference Shares of 1p each, the
number of Ordinary Shares remaining unissued at 30 November 1999 and
31 May 2000 was 35,694,162. The number of Ordinary Shares originally
listed under the scheme was 35,710,677 (92/1485).
In relation to the Block Listing relating to the Balfour Beatty
Employee Share Option Scheme, the number of Ordinary Shares remaining
unissued at 30 November 1999 and 31 May 2000 was 1,953,976. The number
of Ordinary Shares originally listed under the scheme was 4,300,000
(92/1598).
In relation to the Block Listing relating to the Balfour Beatty
Executive Share Option Scheme, the number of Ordinary Shares remaining
unissued at 30 November 1999 and 31 May 2000 was 963,741. The number
of Ordinary Shares originally listed under the scheme was 1,000,000
(A1444/1994).
No shares were allotted or issued under any of these Block Listings
during either of the 6 month periods to 30 November 1999 and 31 May
2000.
At 30 November 1999, the number of Ordinary Shares in issue was
421,366,784; at 31 May 1999, the number of Ordinary Shares in issue was
419,907,510.
