On 8 September 2005, Mr J L Cohen, a director of the Company, exercised matured
options over 743 50p Ordinary Shares in the Company that were held under the
Company's Savings Related Share Option Scheme, having been granted on 8 May
2002.  The exercise price was 184p per 50p Ordinary Share.

Following this transaction, Mr Cohen holds 120,922 50p Ordinary Shares in the
Company, and options over a total of 1,449 50p Ordinary Shares in the Company.
