Grant of Options under the Balfour Beatty Savings Related Share Option Scheme
2001



On 3 May 2006, the following Directors / Persons Discharging Managerial
Responsibility ('PDMR') of Balfour Beatty plc ('the Company') were granted
options over the Company's 50p Ordinary Shares under the Balfour Beatty Savings
Related Share Option Scheme 2001, pursuant to an Invitation issued to all
eligible employees of the Company:

All options were granted at an Exercise Price of 305.0p.


Each Director / PDMR has entered into a 5 Year Savings Contract; as a result,
their options are exercisable between 1 July 2011 and 31 December 2011.
