On 13 June 2003, Balfour Beatty plc ('the Company') was notified of the
following transactions effected by an executive director of the Company in
ordinary 50p shares ('shares') in the Company. As a result of these
transactions, the director concerned has increased his holding of shares in the
Company:
On 12 June 2003 Mr P J L Zinkin acquired a further 5,000 shares in the Company,
taking his total holding of shares to 25,000, in addition to options over 9,926
shares. This acquisition was made following the exercise by him on 10 June 2003
of options to acquire 80,000 shares at 110p each, granted on 9 November 1999.
On 13 June 2003, following the exercise of these options, Mr Zinkin sold 75,000
shares at a price of 195.7p each.
