On 30 October 2003, Mr J L Cohen, a director of the Company, exercised matured
options over 2,498 50p Ordinary Shares in the Company that were held under the
Company's Savings Related Share Option Scheme, having been granted on 24 May
2000.  The exercise price was 76p per 50p Ordinary Share.



Following this transaction, Mr Cohen holds 24,195 50p Ordinary Shares in the
Company, and options over a total of 197,693 50p Ordinary Shares in the Company.
