On 17 December 2004, Mr J L Cohen, a director of the Company, exercised matured
options over 1,610 50p Ordinary Shares in the Company that were held under the
Company's Savings Related Share Option Scheme, having been granted on 19 July
2001.  The exercise price was 154p per 50p Ordinary Share.

Following this transaction, Mr Cohen holds 79,286 50p Ordinary Shares in the
Company, and options over a total of 16,729 50p Ordinary Shares in the Company.
