BBVA, S.A. informs that, in execution of the agreement reached on September
2004, and having obtained all the necessary authorizations, its Mexican
subsidiary, BBVA BANCOMER, has acquired 100% of the share capital of HIPOTECARIA
NACIONAL of  Mexico, the biggest institution specializing in mortgage business
of said country.
