THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF BBVA APPOINTS NEW DIRECTOR AND
APPROVES THE SECOND INTERIM DIVIDEND OF 2001
* Jose Madina Loidi joins to the Board of Directors
* The dividend of EUR 0.085 per share (ESP 14.14) will be paid the
next 10th of October
The Board of Directors of BBVA has appointed as a new Director of the Bank to
Jose Madina Loidi and has approved the payment of the second interim dividend of
2001, EUR 0.085 per share (ESP 14.14 per share).
Jose Madina Loidi is engineer and nowadays is the manager of the Financial
School of BBVA and Director of BBVA Privanza and independent Director of Gamesa.
Madina Loidi substitutes in the Board to Fernando Ybarra y Lopez Doriga, who
left the senior post because of his retirement.
With reference to the dividend, this second payment will be done the 10th of
October, according to the agenda of payments approved by the Board of Directors
of BBVA in its meeting of May. The other payments will be done in January and
April.
