The Bankers Investment Trust PLC announces that the resolution for the
redemption of the £1.3 million 4 per cent. Perpetual Debenture Stock has been
signed by Stockholders holding over 99% of the Stock.  Accordingly, the Stock
will be redeemed in full on 14 July 2006, in accordance with the resolution.
