                                31 OCTOBER 2003


The Bankers Investment Trust PLC has declared a third interim dividend of 1.74p
per ordinary share net (2002: 1.68p) in respect of the year ending 31 October
2003 payable on 28 November 2003 to shareholders registered on 31 October 2003.
The Company's shares go ex-dividend on 29 October 2003.
