Barclays PLC ("the Company") was notified by a third party custodian on 15 September 2011 that, on 15 September 2011, following the re-investment of the interim dividend for the year ended 31 December 2011, Ms A Carnwath received 264 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of 151.96 pence per share.

Following this transaction, Ms Carnwath has a total beneficial interest of 44,503 ordinary shares in the Company.
