Notification of directors' interests : Companies Act s329

The Company was notified on 4 May 2000 by the
Administrators of the Dividend Reinvestment Plan (the
Plan) that on 3 May 2000 the following directors had
received ordinary shares in the Company by participating
in the Plan for the 1999 second interim dividend at a
price of £16.74667 per share.  The number of shares
received by each, together with their beneficial
interests following the allotments, are as follows:
