The Board of Baronsmead VCT 3 plc announces that on 1 April 2005 the Company
purchased 110,000 ordinary shares of 10p at a price of 96.5p.  These shares will
be held in Treasury.

Following this purchase there are now 32,792,324 ordinary shares of 10p in
issue. The Company's total listed shares are 32,902,324 ordinary shares of 10p.
