The Board of Baronsmead VCT 2 plc announces that on 26 March 2008 the Company
purchased 300,000 ordinary shares of 10p at a price of 96.5p per share to be
held in Treasury.

The Company's issued ordinary share capital consists of 65,036,015 with voting
rights of which 3,820,000 are held in Treasury.  Therefore the total number of
shares with voting rights in Baronsmead VCT 2 plc is 61,216,015.

The above figure (61,216,015) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for
the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Baronsmead VCT 2 plc under
the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
