                                AGM STATEMENT

A.G.BARR p.l.c., the soft drinks group, whose brands include Irn-Bru,
Strathmore, Tizer and Orangina, will today hold its Annual General Meeting in
Glasgow.

At the AGM, Chairman, Robin Barr will say, 'The soft drinks market has had a
good start to 2007 across all sectors and A.G.Barr has benefited from that
strong start.

Our programme of investment in our brands and infrastructure continues and
although it is early in the year we are on course for another successful year'.
