                                 Board changes



A.G.BARR p.l.c., the soft drinks group today announces that Iain Greenock,
Finance Director and Alan Bibby, Operations Director will retire from the Board
and the company early in the 2008/09 financial year.


Iain has 33 years of service with the company, the last 10 of which have been as
Finance Director. Alan has served 31 years, of which 23 years has been as
Operations Director.


The Board wish to express their appreciation on behalf of the shareholders for
the very significant contribution made by both Iain and Alan over these many
years.


A.G.Barr is please to announce the following appointments to the Board;


Alex Short will join the Board as Finance Director with effect from 1st July
2008. Alex, 40 has been Group Finance Director of William Grant & Sons Ltd from
2003, having previously held a number of operating Board positions prior to his
current role in the William Grant organisation over a twelve year period.


Andrew Memmott will join the Board as Operations Director with effect from 1st
March 2008. Andrew, 43 currently Head of Manufacturing at A.G.Barr, has been
with the company for eighteen years in a variety of operational roles, latterly
having been heavily involved in the investments at the Cumbernauld site.


The Board is delighted to welcome two high calibre individuals to join the Board
at this exciting time in the development of A.G.BARR p.l.c.


Iain and Alan's specific retiral dates will coincide with the planned handover
and subsequent appointment dates of Alex and Andrew.


In addition the company announces that Julie Barr will become Company Secretary
and Legal Affairs Manager from 1st March 2008. Julie, 35 a qualified lawyer and
MBA graduate, joined the company in 2004 as Commercial Finance Manager.

At the same time we are delighted to appoint Alex, Andrew and Julie all of whom
will add significantly to our future plans for the business.'
