One Hundred and Fifth AGM Statement

A.G.BARR p.l.c., the soft drinks group, whose brands include Irn-Bru, Rubicon, Strathmore, Tizer and Orangina, will today hold its Annual General Meeting in Glasgow.

At the AGM, Chairman, Robin Barr will say, 'A.G.Barr has had an excellent start to the year with like for like revenue in the first 15 weeks well ahead of the corresponding period last year.  The integration of the Rubicon business is currently going to plan and despite the difficult economic climate I am confident that even at this early stage of our trading year we are on course to deliver our plans.

As I am today stepping down from role as Chairman after 31 years I am delighted to leave the business in such good shape and in the hands of a capable and experienced team.'

The company will release a more detailed performance update in its Interim Management Statement planned for 8th June, 2009.
