New Partnership with The Prince's Trust
A.G.Barr p.l.c announces its new partnership with youth charity The Prince's
Trust. Barr will support the work of The Trust by investing in a number of its
core community programmes across the UK, with a particular focus on Scotland.
Across the company all Barr employees will be encouraged to develop their own
fundraising initiatives and get involved in the work of The Trust.
Barr's Strathmore Spring water will carry The Prince's Trust logo from July,
together with details of how consumers can find out more about the work of the
charity. Each year, over 50 million bottles of Strathmore Spring water will
carry this on-pack message for The Trust. The brand will also provide The
Trust's water requirements for all of its various fundraising and recognition
activities throughout the year.
A.G.Barr Chief Executive Roger White, said:
'At Barr we have always tried to make a positive difference in the communities
in which our operations are based, particularly in Scotland, by supporting many
local good causes, fundraising activities and charity organisations over the
years. We fully intend to continue this important support.
'Our partnership with The Prince's Trust is about us helping and supporting some
of our less fortunate young people who may be struggling in life. As a national
youth charity, The Trust will enable us to do this in a more coordinated way so
that we can fully engage and encourage all of our staff across the UK to get
involved in the partnership. We are looking forward to developing a long term
relationship with the Trust and supporting the various projects with which we
will be involved.'
