In accordance with the requirements of D.T.R.3.1.2 Barratt Developments PLC (the "Company") was notified on 14 May 2012 that, Clive Fenton, Group Executive Director - South, exercised an option to purchase 16,422 shares (representing 0.00% of the Company's issued share capital) at an exercise price of 0.5708 pence per share under the Company's Savings-Related Share Option Scheme, in London, on 14 May 2012.

Following the above exercise, Clive Fenton holds 307,446 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company representing 0.032% of the Company's issued share capital.

This notification is made in accordance with the requirements of D.T.R. 3.1.4.
