David Thomas, Group Finance Director, acquires further shares

In accordance with the requirements of D.T.R. 3.1.2 Barratt Developments PLC (the "Company") was notified on 9 September 2010 that, David Thomas, Group Finance Director, acquired 25,000 ordinary shares (0.0026% of the Company's issued share capital) in the Company at a price of 101.9 pence per share, in London, on 9 September 2010.

Following the above purchase, David Thomas holds 211,000 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company representing 0.022% of the Company's issued share capital.

This notification is made in accordance with the requirements of D.T.R. 3.1.4.
