The Board of Barratt Developments PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of
Mr. Roderick (Rod) MacEachrane as a Non-Executive Director with effect from
Monday, 1st May, 2006.
On 7th April, 2006 Rod MacEachrane, aged 61, retired from his position as
Commercial Director and Main Board Executive Director of the National House
Building Council (NHBC), positions he had held since 2000.
Rod is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and an Associate
Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and held a number of posts with
private surveying practices before joining the NHBC in 1981, where he undertook
a number of roles, including Regional Director, Director of Claims and Director
of Operations, before his appointment to the NHBC Board.
Barratt Developments PLC confirms that there is no other information to be
disclosed pursuant to the Listing Rules in relation to the appointment.
Mr. Charles Toner, Chairman of Barratt Developments PLC, commented 'I am
delighted that Rod MacEachrane is joining the Board of Barratt. He brings a
wealth of knowledge and experience of construction and housebuilding and he will
make a very valuable contribution to the Board.'
