Directors Shareholding - Replacement

The issuer has made the following amendment to the Barratt Developments PLC
'Directors Shareholdings' announcement released today at 16:05 under RNS No
9872D.

The purchase price of the 200,000 shares acquired should have read 251p and not
252p as previously shown. All other details remain unchanged.  The full
corrected version is shown below.

BARRATT DEVELOPMENTS PLC

The Company was notified today by the trustees of the Barratt Developments
Employee Benefit Trust that they had purchased a total of 200,000 Ordinary 10p
shares representing 0.086 per cent of the Company's issued share capital.

The purchases were made as follows:-

The Executive Directors of the Company are potential beneficiaries under the
Trust and therefore are deemed to have acquired a non-beneficial interest in
these shares.
