Barratt Developments PLC 21 June 2007 21 June 2007 Barratt Developments PLC appoints Sales and Marketing Director Barratt Developments PLC, announces the appointment of Simon Cunningham as Group Sales and Marketing Director. Simon will report to Mark Clare, CEO, and will be joining Barratt's Executive Committee. Simon will be responsible for all the Group's branding and central marketing activities, in particular focusing upon the two national housing brands, Barratt Homes and David Wilson. He will also be responsible for driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's sales channels across the Group. Throughout his career Simon has held various marketing, sales and general management roles. From 1995 he managed the international marketing for Coca-Cola before running the group's interests in global sports events, including the 1999 Rugby World Cup in the UK and the 2000 European Football Championship in Holland and Belgium. He moved to Allied Domecq in 2002 where he held a number of high profile Sales and Marketing positions. Simon moved to Umbro International 2 years ago, when Allied was sold, as Senior Vice President, International Business, with responsibility for all of Umbro's operations outside of the UK. Mark Clare, Group Chief Executive, said; 'It is essential that following the acquisition of Wilson Bowden we maximise the impact of our sales and marketing activities and that our brands are correctly positioned and fully exploited.
