Barratt Developments PLC announce that with effect from 1st July, 2001 Mr.
S.J. Boyes has been appointed an Executive Director of the Company and
Regional Chairman of the Group's U.K. housebuilding operations in the Northern
Region.
In connection with Mr. Boyes' appointment there are no relevant disclosures to
be made pursuant to the requirements of Paras. 16.4(a) or 6.F.2(b) to (g) of
the Listing Rules.
