Further to  the  announcement  made  by  Providence  Resources  P.l.c
("Providence" or "the Company") on 2 May, 2007 regarding the exercise
of share  options,  Providence  confirms that  the  total  number  of
Ordinary Shares  allotted pursuant  to the  exercise of  options  was
4,390,168.  This  includes  allotments  to  persons  other  than  the
Directors and Company Secretary as detailed in the announcement of  2
May, 2007 (which totalled 4,278,916 Ordinary Shares).
Application has been  made for  the admission  of 4,390,168  Ordinary
Shares to  trading  on both  AIM  and  IEX ("Admission")  and  it  is
expected that Admission will occur and that dealings will commence on
AIM and IEX on 10th May, 2007. The new Ordinary Shares will rank pari
passu in all  respects with  the existing  Ordinary Shares  currently
traded  on  AIM   and  IEX.   Following  Admission   there  will   be
2,470,921,492 Ordinary Shares in issue.
