                        Annual General Meeting Statement


BATM Advanced Communications Limited (LSE: BVC), a leading designer and producer
of broadband data and telecoms systems, is today holding its Annual General
Meeting.  At the meeting, Chairman Peter Sheldon will give the following update
on BATM's trading performance:


'I am pleased to report that the cautious optimism for the current year
expressed in my annual report is being fully justified by our performance this
year. In the first five months of the year both turnover and operating results
are significantly ahead of last year and in line with our expectations for the
half year.  BATM continues to gain important contract awards, particularly in
the VOIP segment, a trend which we expect to continue.'
