Interim management statement

Following the introduction of the European Union Transparency Directive and
combined with the application for de-registration from the New York Stock
Exchange, British Airways will release its first interim management statement at
7am on August 3, 2007.

The statement will provide narrative detailing the company's performance and
financial position, together with any material events, for the period April 1 to
June 30, 2007.

In addition there will be a webcast of an analyst conference call including a
slide presentation at 2pm. The webcast will be available through
www.bashares.com

Notes to editors:

The new rules apply for all accounting periods beginning on or after January 20,
2007 and require all listed companies to prepare interim management statements.
