                       Beazley Group plc ('the Company')


Application has been made to the Financial Services Authority and the London
Stock Exchange plc for a total of 500,000 ordinary shares of 5p each to be
admitted to the Official List under a block listing.  The block listing is under
the Beazley Group plc Approved Share Option Scheme.

It is expected that admission will occur and trading will commence on 20
February 2004.
