                    Beazley Group Plc - AGM Trading Statement
                                                                      

At its Annual General Meeting being held at 12:00 today, Beazley Group Plc
('Beazley'), one of the Lloyd's market leaders, will update on current trading,
as below:

Current Trading

Underwriting conditions to 30 April 2006 have generally remained favourable
resulting in a 17% increase in gross premiums written for the Group, relative to
30 April 2005.

Andrew Beazley, Chief Executive of Beazley, said:

'We are pleased with our progress thus far in 2006 and believe that market
conditions will improve particularly for catastrophe exposed business in the
US.'

Beazley Group Plc will be announcing its interim results on 30 August 2006.
