GRANT OF SHARE OPTIONS TO DIRECTORS

The Board of Beazley Group plc (the 'Company') announces that the following
grants of share options over the Company's Ordinary shares of 5p have been made
on 20 April 2004 to the undermentioned Directors under the Beazley Group plc
Savings-Related Share Option Plan.

In all cases there was no consideration for the grant of the option.

The exercise period in respect of the grants is from 1st June 2007 to 1st
December 2007.

Correction:

On 16 May 2003 the Company announced that N H Furlonge had been granted 12,600
options under the Beazley Group plc Savings-Related Share Option Plan,
exercisable at 75p per share between 1st July 2006 and 1st January 2007. This
grant did not in fact take place, and the above grant reflects the actual
position.
