Purchase of shares by the Beazley Group plc Employee Benefit Trust

The board of Beazley Group plc announces that Beazley Group plc Employee Benefit
Trust has transferred 689,352 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company on 25th
March 2008 at an average price of 157.42p to employees to satisfy the vesting of
Deferred and Retention share awards made in March 2005. .

The Beazley Group plc Employee Benefit Trust now owns 10,001,594 ordinary shares
of 5p each (2.8% of the issued share capital).
