Beazley plc - Transaction in own shares
Beazley plc ("the Company") announces that in accordance with paragraph 12.4.6R of the Listing Rules and paragraph 5.5.1R of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules it has purchased 151,487 Ordinary Shares of 5p each at an average price of 113.765 pence per share.
The highest and lowest price paid for these shares was 113.90 pence and 113.30 pence respectively. All the purchased shares will be held as Treasury shares.
Following the above purchase, the Company holds 15,987,165 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares purchased represents 2.99% of the voting rights attributable to the total Ordinary Shares in issue prior to such purchases.
The Company has 518,941,470 Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury shares).
The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
