                               ADDITIONAL LISTING

Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange and the UK Listing
Authority for a block listing of 5,275,902 Ordinary shares of 12.5p each to be
admitted to the Official List. These shares will rank pari passu with the
existing shares in issue.

These ordinary shares are to be issued as a result of future exercise of options
under the following employee share option schemes:

Bellway plc (1995) Employee Share Option Scheme

Bellway plc (1996) Employee Share Option Scheme

Bellway plc Savings Related Share Option Scheme

Bellway plc (2003) Savings Related Share Option Scheme
