The company was informed on Friday 2nd February 2007 that under the terms of the
Bellway plc (1996) Employee Share Option Scheme, the following director of the
company on the same day exercised options over 20,000 Bellway plc 12.5p ordinary
shares as follows:

Immediately thereafter, 15,000 Bellway plc 12.5p ordinary shares were sold at a
price of £14.82 per share.
