The company was informed yesterday under the terms of the Bellway plc (1995) and
(1996) Employee Share Option Schemes, the following director of the company
exercised yesterday options over 74,000 Bellway plc 12.5p ordinary shares as
follows:

Immediately thereafter, Mr Dawe sold 74,000 Bellway plc 12.5p ordinary shares at
a price of £13.65 per share.
