BELLWAY PLC DIRECTORS' SHAREHOLDINGS

The company was yesterday informed that under the terms of the Bellway plc
Employee Share Trust (1992) (a trust used to reward directors and employees),
17,956 Bellway plc ordinary 12.5p shares in the company were yesterday
transferred to four employees of the company for a total consideration of
£4.00.
Furthermore, the company has been informed today that under the terms of the
same trust a further 3,000 Bellway plc ordinary 12.5p shares were today
transferred to one further employee for a total consideration of £1.00.
Following the above transactions, the total number of shares held in the trust
is 687,822 (0.63%) (708,778;0.65%). Of these the executive directors have a
beneficial interest in 255,099 (0.23%) (255,099) (0.23%).
In addition, each Bellway executive director has a potential further
beneficial interest in up to 432,723 (0.40%) (453,679;0.41%).
The other interests of the directors remain unchanged.
