Directors' Notification of Dealing in Shares

I was yesterday informed that under the terms of the Bellway plc 1988 Employee
Benefit Trust (a trust used to reward directors and employees) 4,000 Bellway
plc ordinary 12.5p shares were transferred yesterday to a beneficiary under
the terms of the trust for a total consideration of £1.00.

Following the above transaction, the directors of the company hold a joint non
beneficial interest in 28,000 Bellway plc ordinary 12.5p shares representing
0.03% of the issued share capital of the company (32,000; 0.03%).  

The other interests of the directors in the share capital of the company
remain unchanged.
