County Administrative Board Announcement
Beowulf (AIM: BEM; AktieTorget: BEO), the mineral exploration and development company, focused on the Kallak magnetite iron ore project and the Åtvidaberg polymetallic exploration licence in Sweden, and its graphite portfolio in Finland, notes the surprise announcement today made by the County Administrative Board ("CAB") for the County of Norrbotten.
The CAB has referred the Company's application for an Exploitation Concession for Kallak North back to the Mining Inspectorate of Sweden, with respect to matters regarding the effects of a mining operation at Kallak on Laponia.
Kurt Budge CEO is in Sweden this week, visiting Luleå and Jokkmokk, meeting with key stakeholders and decision makers. The Company will provide a further update to shareholders in due course, after fully understanding the CAB's announcement, and importantly what it means in practice.
The Company's shares will be suspended from trading on AIM until further clarification on the situation can be given.
