Main Board Director Stepping Down

The Berkeley Group Holdings plc ("Berkeley" or the "Company") announces that Greg Fry has decided to step down from the Board at the Company's AGM on 8^th September 2010 and will leave St George on 31^st October 2010, the end of Berkeley's half year.

Berkeley's Chairman, Tony Pidgley, said: "We are sorry that Greg has decided to leave the Group and, on behalf of the Board, I would like to thank him for the outstanding contribution he has made to the business over the last 28 years."

Greg Fry said: "I have had a fantastic career with Berkeley and St George and, after 28 years, believe that this is the right time for me to make a change. I am delighted the business is in such a strong position.  St George has an outstanding management team to continue developing its world class sites and is well placed to capitalise on the opportunities that will emerge over the next stage of the cycle."
