Tanzania Gold was notified on 18 January 2007 by Lehman Brothers International
(Europe), pursuant to Section 198 of the Companies Act 1985, that as at the
close of business on 12 January 2007 it had an interest in 1,392,500 ordinary
shares of 0.2p each in the Company, representing approximately 5.80 per cent of
the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
