Result of General Meeting
Bezant (AIM: BZT), the AIM listed gold and copper exploration and development company operating in the Philippines and Argentina, announces that the resolutions proposed at the General Meeting held earlier today, as set out in the notice dated 10 December 2012, were all duly approved by shareholders.
Further to the announcement of 10 December 2012, application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the Subscription Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM. Admission is expected to become effective and dealings in the 17,945,922 ordinary shares are expected to commence at 8.00 a.m. on Friday 11 January 2013. The Company's issued ordinary share capital will consist of 82,939,525 ordinary shares of 0.2 pence each with voting rights. Bezant does not hold any ordinary shares in treasury and accordingly there are no voting rights in respect of any treasury shares.
The aforementioned figure of 82,939,525 ordinary shares may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Bezant under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
Further to the allotment of the Subscription Shares, Gold Fields is now interested in 17,945,922 ordinary shares representing approximately 21.64 per cent. of the Company's enlarged issued share capital.
Unless the context otherwise requires, defined terms used in this announcement shall have the meanings given to them in the circular dated 10 December 2012.
