Director Appointment

The Company announces the proposed appointment of Claire Whittet as a Director of the Company. It is anticipated that Claire will join the Board on 16 June 2014, after regulatory and Guernsey Registry notifications have been submitted. 

Claire is Guernsey resident and has over 37 years' experience in the financial services industry.  After obtaining a MA (Hons) in Geography from the University of Edinburgh, she joined the Bank of Scotland for 19 years and undertook a wide variety of roles including running two city centre offices. She moved to Guernsey in 1996 and was Global Head of Private Client Credit for Bank of Bermuda before joining Rothschild Bank International Limited where she is now Managing Director and Co-Head. Mrs Whittet is an ACIB member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland and holds an IoD Directors Diploma in Company Direction.

The Directors are very pleased to have attracted Claire to the Board and are confident that the Company will benefit from her extensive financial services experience.

There are no disclosures to be made in respect of LR 9.6.13 (2-6). All of Claire's current directorships in publicly quoted companies and in the past five years are noted below as required by LR 9.6.13 (1).

The Company notes that included in the Notice of AGM, which was sent to shareholders on 15 May 2014, is a reference to Claire Whittet being a Director of the Company as at 15 May 2014. This reference is attributable to a clerical error and is incorrect. It is anticipated Claire Whittet will not be appointed to the Board until 16 June 2014.
