BHP RETIREMENT - GRAEME McGREGOR
The Broken Hill Proprietary Company Limited (BHP) confirmed that BHP Executive
Director Finance, Graeme McGregor, is retiring from the Company and the Board
today.
Mr McGregor joined BHP in 1956 and has held a wide range of financial and
general management positions throughout his career with the Company. He was
appointed Executive Director Finance in 1997 and previously held the position
of Executive General Manager Finance from 1996 to 1997 and Executive General
Manager and CEO BHP Service Companies from 1992 to 1996.
BHP Managing Director and CEO Paul Anderson paid tribute to Mr McGregor's
contribution to the Company. ''Graeme is highly regarded in the Australian
financial community and has made an outstanding contribution to BHP's
financial management over many years. All of us at BHP wish him the very best
and thank him for his efforts'', Mr Anderson said.
Mr Charles (Chip) Goodyear assumed responsibility as BHP's Chief Financial
Officer on 1 June this year.
