Big Yellow Store Acquisitions


Big Yellow Group PLC, the self storage company, today
announces it has acquired properties on which it is proposing
to open two new stores in Hounslow, London and Milton Keynes.

At the Staines Road, Hounslow (A315) the company has acquired
a freehold site for £1.25 million cash, on which it is
proposing a new purpose built store to provide 50,000 sq ft of
self storage.  The completed store will be prominently located
on this main road, a short distance to the west of Hounslow
town centre.  It is anticipated that construction will start
on site at the end of the year and the store will be
operational in the early summer of 2001.

At Winter Hill, Milton Keynes the group has acquired a 29 year
lease on an existing warehouse which, following refurbishment
and fitting out, will provide approximately 60,000 sq ft of
self storage.  The new store is located on the main axis road,
a short distance south of Milton Keynes town centre, close to
a significant concentration of retail warehousing.  It is
anticipated that the store will commence trading in October of
this year.
